Port of Liverpool - Cruising

The Port of Liverpool is fast developing into a familiar landfall for cruise ships, whether as an embarkation point for voyages or for day calls to discover the North West of England's vibrant tourist attractions.

Cruising Port of Liverpool has grown from just three sailings in 1992 and is continuing to expand. No less than 25 vessels berthed at the Langton Cruise Terminal in 2009 to receive passengers for voyages to the Canaries, the Mediterranean and other exotic far flung shores.

Another 15 of the luxury ships arrived at Liverpool's new £19 million cruise berth which was inaugurated at the city's famous Pier Head in 2009, eliminating the need for visiting vessels to anchor in mid-river and tender their passengers ashore.

The new facility is capable of accommodating vessels of 345 metres in length and 10.0 metres draught – giants of the international cruise trade.
