More grain and animal feed is imported through Liverpool than at any other UK port – over two million tonnes a year.

The Royal Seaforth Grain Terminal is the country's largest import facility – with a total silo capacity of 168,000 tonnes – feeding three on-site mills by conveyor.

It is also at the centre of a vibrant grain and AFS community in the Port of Liverpool, which includes some of the biggest names in the global trade.

Liverpool is ideally located to meet the needs of the food industry, both regionally and nationally, and the Port plays a vital role in the supply chains of some of the UK's best-known names in food manufacturing.
